So, last night we had another birthing class. WOW!!! Well, first off we have decided to hire Stacy, our birthing instructor, as our Doula. Her back up is Mindy. Mindy is also very highly trained. This is a decision we are glad we have made and one we are confident is critical for the normal birth we are seeking!
Last nights class we went over our birth plan. She explained what many things were and told us what information needed to be included. We watched some more videos of normal births...I have to tell you it is so cool to see birthing being done in such a calm way! The babies are so much happier and the mothers are much more comfortable!!
We then practiced a relaxation technique which proved time distortion is possible. She relaxed us both for what seemed like 5 or 10 minutes tops, nope... 45 mins!!!! it was awesome!! Diva is getting much better at relaxing too. No, this is not a joke. Many of you have never met our Diva. She is a HIGHLY energized licking machine!! But with practice she has been just sitting with us during our classes and being completely silent and docile, its a miracle!!! We are talking about 3 hours!!! That is huge for Diva.
Keith says she knows what's going on. I know she knows that she goes for less walks (Mommy's so big and unstable she can't control the attack beast that she is!) She doesn't jump on me as much either. But Keith believes that Diva is making the connection between Stacy and the baby growing in my belly. I'm not really sure, BUT i am curious to see her reaction to the baby when we come home from the hospital!
